Maria Kaltsi

 Maria Kaltsi

She was born and raised in Lamia, Greece.

She has studied Agricultural Technology at the Department of Greenhouse Crops and Floriculture at Technological Educational Institute of Mesologgi, Greece.

Since 2003 she lives and works in Ioannina. She is married and she is mother of two children, Peter and Alice, who are her inspiration for the fairy tales she writes.

She is a member of the Fthiot Writers and Authors Group.

She has published the following books in Greek:

1. Roza the pink dragon fairytale, Oselotos publications-2015 (First Prize Book of the Year 2015 from Kefalos Literary Magazine of Kefalonia island).
2. Our secret novel, Oselotos publications – 2016
3. Roza the pink dragon Meeting with a giant fairytale, Oselotos publications- 2017 (First Prize Book of the Year 2017 from Kefalos Literary Magazine of Kefalonia island).
4. A balloon for the grandfather fairytale, Oselotos publications – 2019 (1st Prize Book of the Year 2019 of the Linos Association, Prize Book of the Year 2019 from the Hellenic Cultural Association of Greek Cypriots and 2nd Prize Book of the Year 2019 from Kefalos Literary Magazine of Kefalonia island).

Her fairytales have been awarded in World and Panhellenic Literary Competitions organized by the Greek Cultural Association of Greek Cypriots EPOK and by Petrideio Foundation in Paphos, Cyprus.

Also, all her fairy tales have been approved by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth of Cyprus as educational material for the library of students and teachers.
