Panos Nomikos was born in 1961 and grew up in Piraeus, Greece. Both his father (Manos Nomikos) and his brother (Dimitris Nomikos) are well-known writers. Panos got a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Athens and a Ph.D. in Information Technology from the University of Sussex in Brighton, UK, in 1988. In his professional life he is an expert in Information Technology specializing in the maritime industry and he has held senior management positions in important companies in this sector. He has traveled extensively world-wide and he has authored many articles and essays in related professional publications.
